QS World University Rankings 2027

Ngày 18/6, tổ chức QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) đã chính thức công bố kết quả QS World University Rankings 2027, với sự tham gia của hơn 1.500 trường đại học thuộc 106 hệ thống giáo dục đại học trên toàn thế giới. Kết quả năm nay phản ánh những chuyển động đáng chú ý trong bức tranh giáo dục đại học toàn cầu, đồng thời cho thấy sự cạnh tranh ngày càng mạnh mẽ giữa các cơ sở giáo dục đại học trong các lĩnh vực nghiên cứu, danh tiếng học thuật, khả năng đáp ứng nhu cầu việc làm, quốc tế hóa và phát triển bền vững.

Ở nhóm dẫn đầu thế giới, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) tiếp tục giữ vị trí số 1 trong năm thứ 15 liên tiếp. Imperial College London và Stanford University cùng xếp ở vị trí thứ 2, trong khi University of Oxford, Harvard University và University of Cambridge tiếp tục duy trì vị thế trong nhóm các trường đại học hàng đầu thế giới. Năm nay cũng ghi nhận sự vươn lên của Yale University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong và Johns Hopkins University khi các trường này góp mặt trong Top 20 toàn cầu.

Theo báo cáo của QS, Hoa Kỳ tiếp tục là quốc gia có số lượng trường đại học được xếp hạng nhiều nhất với 184 trường, tiếp theo là Vương quốc Anh với 93 trường và Trung Quốc đại lục với 85 trường. Đáng chú ý, Trung Quốc là quốc gia có số lượng trường mới được xếp hạng nhiều nhất trong năm nay với 13 trường được bổ sung vào bảng xếp hạng. Bên cạnh đó, Hong Kong (Trung Quốc) được đánh giá là hệ thống giáo dục cải thiện mạnh nhất tại châu Á khi có 7 trong số 10 trường được xếp hạng tăng thứ hạng so với năm trước.

Kết quả năm nay cũng cho thấy nhiều quốc gia tiếp tục đầu tư mạnh mẽ cho giáo dục đại học và nghiên cứu khoa học. Australia duy trì đà phát triển với sự cải thiện về các chỉ số danh tiếng, trong khi Đức, Tây Ban Nha và Pháp gia tăng đáng kể số lượng trường được xếp hạng. Tại khu vực Trung Đông, nhiều trường đại học ghi nhận kết quả cao nhất từ trước đến nay, phản ánh xu hướng nâng cao năng lực cạnh tranh của giáo dục đại học trên phạm vi toàn cầu.

Tại Việt Nam, có 9 cơ sở giáo dục đại học được ghi nhận trong QS World University Rankings 2027. Theo thống kê của QS, 2 trường cải thiện thứ hạng, 4 trường giảm thứ hạng, 2 trường giữ nguyên vị trí hoặc nhóm xếp hạng và 1 trường lần đầu tiên xuất hiện trong bảng xếp hạng. Trong đó, Đại học Duy Tân tiếp tục là cơ sở giáo dục đại học Việt Nam có thứ hạng cao nhất, đạt vị trí =504 thế giới, khẳng định sự hiện diện của nhà trường trong nhóm các trường đại học được QS đánh giá cao trên phạm vi quốc tế.

Kết quả QS World University Rankings 2027 tiếp tục khẳng định xu hướng phát triển của giáo dục đại học thế giới theo hướng nâng cao chất lượng nghiên cứu, tăng cường hợp tác quốc tế, thúc đẩy đổi mới sáng tạo và chú trọng hơn đến tác động xã hội cũng như khả năng đáp ứng nhu cầu của thị trường lao động.

QS World University Rankings 2027 Released

On June 18, QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) officially released the QS World University Rankings 2027, featuring more than 1,500 universities across 106 higher education systems worldwide. This year's results reflect significant developments in the global higher education landscape and highlight the increasingly competitive environment among universities in research, academic reputation, employability, internationalization, and sustainability.

At the top of the rankings, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) retained the number one position for the fifteenth consecutive year. Imperial College London and Stanford University shared second place, while the University of Oxford, Harvard University, and the University of Cambridge continued to rank among the world's leading institutions. The 2027 edition also saw Yale University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Johns Hopkins University move into the global top 20.

According to QS, the United States remains the most represented country with 184 ranked institutions, followed by the United Kingdom with 93 and Mainland China with 85. Notably, China recorded the highest number of newly ranked universities this year, adding 13 institutions to the rankings. Meanwhile, Hong Kong SAR emerged as Asia's most improved higher education system, with seven of its ten ranked universities moving up compared to the previous year.

The results also demonstrate continued investment in higher education and research across many regions. Australia strengthened its global standing through improvements in reputation indicators, while Germany, Spain, and France significantly increased their representation in the rankings. Several universities in the Gulf region achieved their highest-ever performances, reflecting the growing competitiveness of higher education worldwide.

In Viet Nam, nine higher education institutions were included in the QS World University Rankings 2027. According to QS, two universities improved their positions, four declined, two remained stable within their ranking bands, and one institution entered the rankings for the first time. Among them, Duy Tan University remained the highest-ranked Vietnamese institution, achieving a global ranking of =504, further reinforcing its presence among internationally recognized universities.

The QS World University Rankings 2027 further underscores the growing importance of research excellence, international collaboration, innovation, social impact, and graduate outcomes in shaping the global reputation and competitiveness of universities worldwide.
